I’m Charlotte
An award-winning, final year MEng Design Engineering student, Imperial College London
With industry experience in user research, behaviour science and engineering, I translate complex business objectives and design constraints into actionable, user-centred digital and physical solutions. Working in interdisciplinary teams and applying fundamental engineering skills, I deliver evidence-based, de-risked outcomes aligned with user and stakeholder needs.
I identify, ideate and execute innovative solutions with positive social impact.
I have also explored a wide range of creative professions, and am experienced across design, engineering, prosthetics, psychology, fashion, millinery, dance, acting and even patisserie!
My Master’s project: Mapping upper limb prosthetic use through behaviour setting-driven analysis
Upper limb prosthesis abandonment rates remain high despite technological advances. This gap might be addressed through more user and context-aware design and fitting. Using behaviour settings theory and an end-user case study with Alex Lewis, this project examines how prostheses are actually used across real-world settings, treating them as multi-functional tools with distinct roles and requirements that change by context.
What am I working on right now?
Ninepointthree: Automating blockchain tracing with AI
In 2024, $9.3 billion was lost to crypto scams in the US. Ninepointthree is an on-chain analysis digital platform for crypto investigators that uses AI to automate the currently manual process of scam wallet tracing and evidence documentation. The background multi-path tracing allows investigators to identify scam wallets up to 65% faster, increasing the likelihood of reimbursement.
